Ammonia leak at business park

FIREFIGHTERS are investigating an ammonia leak at the Morrisons frozen food warehouse at Junction 41 business park.

Lorry driver Bob Wakerly said he was told to stay in his cab when the leak broke out this lunchtime.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said that officers from Wakefield Fire Station had contained the leak

Fire officers from the Detection Identification Monitoring (DIM) team are still on site.
