Collision motorcyclist dies

A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a collision with a HGV earlier today.
The cyclist, who was riding a maroon Suzuki motorcycle, suffered series injuries in the collision with a Volvo HGV on Doncaster Road near Chantry Bridge at 3.30pm.

The accident caused severe traffic disruption across the city-centre and Doncaster Road and Barnsley Road are still partially closed.

A person has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Police have not released details of the dead motorcyclist.
