GOD-given talent was on show around Wakefield this week when students from Cathedral School went on a whirlwind tour.
Sixth form students from the Cathedral's Academy of Performing Arts, took to the stage with their own version of the 70s musical Godspell at churches around the city.
The end-of-year show formed part of their BTEC National Certificate in Musical Theatre.
Throughout the week they entertained the crowds at St Mary's Church in Horbury, St George's Church in Lupset, St Peter's Church in Stanley and the grand finale was two concerts at the Thornes Road school yesterday.
Godspell is an archaic spelling of the word gospel. Written by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak, it opened off Broadway in 1971 and has been performed around the world.
The first act is based on a series of parables, which are interspersed with a variety of songs in styles to suit every taste from folk to gentle rock.
The second act focuses on the passion of Christ.
For some of the students this was their last performance with Cathedral School before they leave for university.
