The event, at Burntwood Community Centre, raised funds towards sending Kane Smith – who has been diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy – to Disney World.

Hide AdThe incurable condition means four-year-old Kane, who attends Walton Primary School, will be wheelchair-bound before he reaches his teens and is only expected to live until his 20s. Dad Martin Smith, 31, is hoping to raise enough money to take the youngster, his older sister Kasey, eight, and his mum Julie Kinder to the Florida theme park before Kane’s health deteriorates.
