Emley Show

ANIMALS, acrobats and an ice rink helped draw in the crowds at the long-awaited Emley Show.
More than 10,000 people attended the event on Saturday August 2, which had to be cancelled last year because of the floods.
But this year, a new venue at Factory Farm opposite the mast on Emley Moor, made sure nothing - not even a bit of mud - could rain on the show's parade.
The agricultural show, which is believed to date back to the 1890's, had something for everyone with animals of all shapes and sizes, craft and cookery competitions, stalls and games.
Molly Cundy, 62, treasurer of the Emley Show Committee, said: "We were absolutely thrilled with the show this year. The fields were a bit muddy to start with, but the sun soon came out and dried things up a bit.
"We had a great turn out and fantastic entertainment and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the event, and to all our sponsors."
